When calling a carrier hotline, please have the following information handy:

1. Policy number if available
2. A description of dates, events & witnesses (if applicable) 
3. A police record (if applicable)
4. Relevant photos or videos of the damage (if applicable)

Key Tips

#1: Assess the claim severity. If the area is safe & under control, take steps to secure the remaining property. Typically, your claims adjuster will refund you the costs of temporary storage and other reasonable costs in order to reduce the chances of greater loss. Your 24 hours emergency claims support service will advise you further.

#2 Report. In case of a fire, accident or theft, once the situation is under control, immediately  submit a claim below or call us without delay. If your claim involved a crime, we will need you to file a police report. Send us the case #, list of witnesses, and details of the event including all lost or damaged property covered under your policy.

#3: Settlement. Insurance is designed to protect your right to a proper defence and settlement. Don’t let anyone coerce you into paying fees or admitting guilt before talking to a licensed insurance broker.
